International Francophonie Day marked through exhibition at National Library

Publications of Moldovan researchers in the field of Francophonie are presented in an exhibition hosted by the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. The host institution said that the Francophonie in Moldova has rich traditions, rooted in the national culture, and the study and spread of the French language in the country formed several generations of prominent people, IPN reports.

The exhibition presents works by Victor Banaru, Grigore Cincilei, Ion Manoli, Lidia Moraru, Claudia Prigorschi.

The exhibition entitled "Francophonie in the Republic of Moldova: Scientific Studies from the First Decades of the 21st Century" can be visited until April 20, in the central block of the institution.

The International Francophonie Day is marked every year on March 20. The theme chosen by the International Organization of La Francophonie this year is "I educate myself, therefore I act" and emphasizes the central role of education in sustainable development.
