The Carabineer Troops Department will strengthen its institutional capacities based on an agreement produced by an exchange of notes between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Italy, IPN reports.

The agreement envisions the strengthening of capacities in the area of public safety, management of public events and meetings and of conflicts involving the masses.

The Ministry of Defense of Italy is to designate an officer of the Carabineer Corps as an adviser to the Commander of the Carbineer Troops Department. The adviser will work in Moldova, at the Bureau of the Military Attaché of the Embassy of Italy in Chisinau. The notification concerning the appointment and dismissal of the adviser will be issued through diplomatic channels.

There will be worked out a training plan for the Carabineer Troops, in cooperation with the competent offices. The activity of the Moldovan carabineers will be adjusted to the European standards.
