Injured deer rescued and released in Ungheni

An injured deer found in Petrești village of Ungheni district was saved and released into the wild after receiving care from a local and environmental authorities, IPN reports.

The animal was discovered on February 8 by Alexandru Budeanu, a member of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of Moldova. He sheltered the deer and cared for it until its condition improved. Subsequently, environmental inspectors in Ungheni, together with foresters of the forestry enterprise "Silva-Centru" Ungheni, took over the animal and released it into a safe natural habitat.

According to the Environmental Protection Inspectorate, the cooperation between the authorities and the community was essential in saving the deer, and such actions contribute to the protection of wildlife.
