The economic entities will be able to inform themselves better about the opportunities of financing businesses from the resources of the Government of Moldova, the governments of other countries and of the international financial organizations by accessing the website www.finatare.gov.md, IPN reports.
The portal was devised by the secretariat of the Prime Minister’s Economic Council as a result of consultations with representatives of the business community, who said that the access to financial resources, especially for a long term, is one of the major problems faced by the private sector. The money attracted by the Government of Moldova from different development partners of the country for directly financing businesses will contribute to solving these problems..
“On the portal www.finantare.gov.md, the entrepreneurs will find detailed information about 20 projects that are implemented in Moldova with the support of the development partners and international organizations that provide direct financing for starting and developing businesses in the form of preferential loans, grants and guarantees to the value of over €300 million. This information wasn’t secret, but it was fragmented and available on different governmental segments. Now it was consolidated and became more accessible,” said the secretariat’s head Dumitru Alaiba.
He added that the information will be updated depending on the new resources available. The portal will soon provide information about the direct business financing opportunities in agriculture, envisioned in the new €100 million project negotiated with Poland and the new EIB-funded project that is also intended for the agrifood sector.
The creation of the portal was supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation.
