Industrial production in 2024 decreased by 1.1% compared to 2023. At the same time, in December 2024, compared to the same month of 2023, industrial production (gross series) declined by 3.4%, IPN reports.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the decrease in production in 2024 compared to 2023 was generated by the 4.5% decline in production in the manufacturing industry.

However, production in the extractive industry grew by 10.7%, while the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning rose by 16%.

In 2024, industrial production, series adjusted depending on the number of working days and season, decreased by 0.8% compared to 2023 as a result of the 3.8% decline in production in the manufacturing industry. Growths were reported in the extractive industry (+11.3%) and in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+11.1%).
