Incumbent president reminds doctors about state's leadership thanks to which the decline in healthcare was possible
Incumbent president Vladimir Voronin convened doctors form the whole country on Friday to draw the balance in healthcare in 2008 and thank them “for supporting the efforts of the country leadership pursuing the consolidation of the healthcare system and the strengthening of the public health.”
At the reunion, stressed was laid on the political will displayed by the state's leadership, the continual support and monitoring of the reform, the politic, administrative and professional consensus, thanks to which it was possible to stop the decline and re-set the healthcare system, reads a communique issued by the presidency, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The speakers – health minister Larisa Catrinici and Medical Insurances Corporation manager Gheorghe Russu among them – read out endless data to confirm the wisdom of the decision to implement the compulsory medical insurances in healthcare, made by the state in 2004 with the full support of hospital managers.
The incumbent president has underlined that insuring the public health is an essential condition to carry out the strategical plans of Moldova's multilateral development. Vladimir Voronin has pointed to the need to solve problems related to enhancing the quality of medical services, improving the Medicines Register, the presidential press service informs.
“We consider this action as an electoral event and obviously the top leadership is using its dominating position and the administrative resource to electioneer among doctors, it has mocked at for 8 years,” says the AMN's spokesman Victor Osipov. According to press release issued by the AMN, as the doctors were leaving the rally, young AMN members gave them yellow flowers and electoral leaflets reading "You got out of the Communist pressure, the Sun welcomes you!"
