The percentage of persons who agree that the wearing of masks in public places should be mandatory has increased. 85% of the respondents of a poll agree with this. 56% said the groups in parks should be limited to three persons. 46% agree that only those who are older than 63 should stay at home. 77% of the respondents consider the persons who come home from abroad should quarantine, says the third study of the COVID-19 behaviors in Moldova that was presented by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Agency, IPN reports.

The study shows the number of respondents who consider there is a big probability that they will become infected with COVID-19 has increased. The perceptions of the risk of infection are higher among older persons and women. 38% of the respondents would not do the test if they have symptoms after being in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 as the test is expensive, they do not trust the test result or they fear they could become infected at the testing place.

91% of the respondents said they know well or very well the protection measures. Over 80% of the respondents continue to say that it is easy for them to find, understand and follow the information and recommendations on COVID-19. Also, each fourth respondent finds it hard to determine if the information about COVID-19 found in the mass media can be reliable. 72% of those polled said they inform themselves about the virus often or very often.

About 31% of the respondents wait for a vaccine. 70% are concerned about the safety of vaccination and want to be sure that the vaccine does not produce side effects in the long run for accepting it.

The study was carried out during November 10-20, 2020 and covered a sample of 1,001 persons from 404 localities. The next study was planned for January 2021.
