The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry gives assurances that the licensing measure for imports of cereal and oilseed crops will be prolonged. A draft in this regard is to be approved by the end of the year to ensure the continuity and stability of the domestic agricultural market in the context of the current challenges, IPN reports.
The statement comes after several reports emerged in the public space that the authorities are delaying the adoption of this decision. "We regret the distribution of false assumptions in the public space," reads the press release issued by the ministry.
The Farmers' Force Association demanded the extension of the licensed import of grain and oilseeds from Ukraine. The farmers are warning of possible protests and blockades of all customs if the licensed import of cereals and oilseeds from Ukraine is not extended as a matter of urgency.
