IJC launched internship program for journalists from Transnistria and UTA Gagauz-Yeri
The Independent Journalism Center (IJC) launched on Monday, September 18, internship program for journalists from Transnistria and UTA Gagauz-Yeri.
During two weeks (September 18-30, 2006), four young journalists from Bender (Tighina), Slobozia and Comrat will work side by side with their colleagues from several press institutions from Chisinau: Radio Free Europe, Young Journalists’ Center, and the “Vremea” and “Nezavisimaya Moldova” newspapers. The trainees will also meet the staff of the „Stud-M” student newspaper from Chisinau.
According to the program coordinators, the goal of this internship is to offer the journalists from the mentioned regions the possibility to find out details about their counterpart’s activity in different periodicals, radio and TV stations from Chisinau, and also to establish and strengthen collaboration in mass-media from different regions of the Republic of Moldova.
The Transnistrian and UTA Gagauz-Yeri journalist training program is done within the IJC project “Strengthening cooperation between journalists from all regions of Moldova” financed by the British Government’s Global Russia-CIS Conflict Prevention Pool.
