Igor Munteanu: We will continue to look for people of good faith in Parliament

The bloc ACUM DA PAS will continue the effort to identify MPs of good faith and will explore all the parliamentary mechanisms so as to create events in the future as well, MP of ACUM Igor Munteanu was quoted by IPN as saying in a program on Jurnal TV channel.

“We are looking for people of good faith in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, who could be sufficiently motivated to vote the laws of the anti-oligarchic package. They are a priority for us. The invitation of MPs to discussions forms part of this search,” stated Igor Munteanu, referring to the invitation to the MPs to discuss the package of de-oligarchization laws.

According to him, the invitation of MPs to discussions is a very important exercise for overcoming the Democratic Party’s scenarios. “The bloc ACUM will continue the intrepid effort to look for people of good faith in Parliament, exploring all the known parliamentary mechanisms and using the legislature’s regulations so as to create events in the future as well,” noted the MP.

Igor Munteanu said the coming of three MPs of the Shor Party to discussions forms part of a scenario designed in the court of the Democratic Party.

Vasile Șoimaru, a member of Moldova’s first Parliament, said the discussions between President Igor Dodon and the leaders of the PDM and PSRM and the fact that no one except for three MPs of the Shor Party came to discussions with the bloc ACUM mean preparation of the voters for an alliance between the Socialists and the Democrats. “It’s surprising that they stage such shows when the Republic of Moldova is on the verge of the most dangerous precipice ever,” stated Vasile Șoimaru.

Political commentator Roman Mihăeș noted the electors voted so as to ensure a continuity in the implementation of the Association Agreement. According to him, the 26 seats of MP of ACUM and the 30 seats of the PDM are a proof of this. “The people would like a government between the PDM and ACUM. The citizens with pro-European views won these election. They gave 56 seats of MP for a government in European interests. The bloc ACUM’s refusal to sit at the negotiating table to see what the PDM offers is incorrect from the stance of political communication,” he said.

President Igor Dodon’s invitation to have discussions on the formation of a government coalition with the leaders of the parties that entered Parliament on April 2 was accepted only by the PDM and PSRM. At the same time, only three MPs of the Shor Party came to the discussions on the package of de-oligarchization laws announced by the bloc ACUM.
