“The parliamentary group of the Socialists will not vote for the ruling alliance’s candidate for the presidency as we are for an apolitical candidate who can gain the consensus votes,” MP Igor Dodon said in a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Moldova William Moser, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the lawmaker’s press service. The meeting took place at the diplomat’s request and involved also Zinaida Greceanyi. The discussion centered on the sociopolitical and economic situation in the country and the possibilities of overcoming the political crisis. In another development, Igor Dodon thanked the Ambassador for the constant support provided by the United States to Moldova through a number of investment projects. For his part, William Moser approved of Zinaida Greceanyi’s effort to sign an agreement with the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
