“Until we do not realize that we must give the Transnistrian region a special status and specific rights, it will be hard to make progress in settling the conflict,” MP Igor Dodon told the journalists after the closed-door sitting of Parliament, where there was discussed the current situation and the prospects of resolving the Transnistrian dispute, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Socialists’ leader said that he would like to hear more information and details about the Transnistrian conflict settlement process as well as possible solutions. According to the presented information, certain progress was made over the last few years – meetings were held between officials and specialists of the working groups. At the start of May, the Party of Socialists will state its position and provide clear notions as regards the solution to the Transnistrian conflict, Igor Dodon announced.
