Igor Dodon under house arrest for 30 more days

Ex-President Igor Dodon will remain under house arrest for another 30 days. The decision was taken this morning by judges of the Ciocana Court, who fully accepted the prosecutors’ request, prosecutor Petru Yarmalyuk told the press.

The prosecutor said that the bans imposed previously on Igor Dodon were maintained. Also, the prosecution presented six new proofs at a time when only one proof is sufficient to extend the preventive measure.

Igor Dodon is accused of passive corruption, acceptance of financing for the party from a criminal organization, treason and unjust enrichment. He describes the criminal case as a political one.
