After voting ended, the executive secretary of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon thanked the citizens of the Republic of Moldova for being active. He noted that even if the state institutions were captured and censorship was established at media outlets, today the ruling party suffered a defeat. “The people went to the polls and we will soon see the results that will show that this government no longer has legitimacy to rule in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Igor Dodon.
According to him, the PSRM followed attentively the election campaign and received signals that are now being processed. The party will provide details on Monday morning. “We suggest that those who are in power, the regime of Maia Sandu, the PAS should think what they will do next. The solution is for them to accept this defeat, which will definitely be a defeat, and we should trigger snap presidential and parliamentary elections,” stated Igor Dodon.
The PSRM’s candidate for mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau Adrian Albu said the Socialists will remain a well-prepared team with social, economic projects that every time will stand by the citizens.
