Igor Dodon showed in Brussels that he is not President of everyone, opinions

Igor Dodon showed in Brussels once again that he is not the President of everyone, as he promised in the election period and when he took up his duties as Head of State. Such statements were made in the talk show “Moldova life” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

Analyst Viorel Chivriga considers that by his visit to Brussels, Igor Dodon did Moldova a disfavor. “The signals that came from Brussels are rather negative. Moldova can no longer be named a success story. In Brussels, Dodon also showed that he is not the President of everyone. The Republic of Moldova doesn’t need now revolutionaries as Dodon. The country needs peace and serious reforms,” he stated.

Political analyst Nicolae Afanas said Dodon’s behavior was more like that of a party leader than of a Head of State. “Igor Dodon presented in Brussels the interests of his voters, who represent 42%. Another 42% are pro-European Moldovan voters, while the rest are undecided,” noted the analyst.

Analyst Ion Tabarta considers Igor Dodon was given a diplomatic welcome in Brussels and nothing more. “Igor Dodon demonstrated that he is not the President of all the people. In Brussels, he behaved like the spokesman of the Russian Federation, not like the President of the Republic of Moldova,” he stated.
