President Igor Dodon instructed the competent authorities to assess the risks of possible floods and other negative consequences of the snowfalls of April 20 and 21, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, all the possibilities of asking for financial and humanitarian aid from the foreign partners, international institutions and organizations for alleviating the consequences of whiteouts are being considered.

In the morning of April 21, Igor Dodon ordered to mobilize the armed forces and asked that the state institutions should take the measures required in such situations.

The President called on the citizens to treat the situation with maximum precaution and to obey the security and protection norms, especially in the case of children, elderly people and persons in difficulty.
