Igor Dodon must be investigated criminally, experts

The leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Igor Dodon must be investigated criminally for his statements inciting separatism as they endanger state security, consider experts who took part in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

Victor Juc, vice director of the Institute of Legal and Political Search of the Academy of Sconces, said the law enforcement bodies should not hesitate and should start a criminal case over the instigating statements of Igor Dodon. “The Socialist leader, instead of doing something good for the people, as he asserts on TV channels, does everything against this country. Igor Dodon is dangerous through his statements and actions. The state security bodies should take attitude and should not be afraid to be criticized in the East or in the West for ‘persecuting’ a politician. The national security is more important,” he stated.

Eduard Maican, head of the Union of Nistru War Veterans, also considers that the law enforcement bodies should react to the statements made by the Socialist leader. “How can he say that the northern districts will separate themselves as only slightly over 50% of the electors there voted for him? It seems that somebody is preparing speeches for him in Moscow and he comes here and multiplies them,” he said.

International law expert Vitalie Gamurari thinks that Dodon’s statements represent elements of an offense. “Igor Dodon’s statements are dangerous for the state security. Dodon is not only aggressive, but he also does not respect at least the main rules of this state,” he stated.

Media analyst Cristian Tabara said that Dodon’s statements are lessons that he learned in the Kremlin and transposed to Moldova.

According to press reports, during his recent visit to Moscow, Igor Dodon stated for the Russia media that Moldova will disappear as a state if it continues the European course. He noted that Transnistria, the autonomous territorial unit Gagauzia and the northern districts will orient themselves to Russia, while several central districts will join Romania so that Moldova will disappear as a state.
