The leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said the only solution to the disaster witnessed at present is to protest and to seek the resignation of the whole government – President, the Government and Parliament – and to organize snap parliamentary elections, IPN reports.

In a news conference, Igor Dodon said the latest developments represent a coup and usurpation of the state power by the President. The goal is to gain control over the prosecution service. “No one would have done something if Missis Maia Sandu, who now controls and coordinates all the state institutions, hadn’t given direct instructions,” stated Igor Dodon. According to him, everything was done to prevent Alexandr Stoianoglo from revealing information about the wrongdoings committed in the Republic of Moldova”.

The leader of the PSRM noted that the people should realize that they are on their own and that the Europeans and Americans do not care about them. The Western ambassadors didn’t come with a reaction. The protest is the only solution. It does not come to a protest for Stoianoglo, but to a protest against the rise in prices, a protest of society against the regime and against the witnessed social and economic disaster.

He also said that this Sunday’s protest will be the first one. It will be without slogans, without insignias and political party flags. The participants will demand that the whole government should resign.
