The PCRM’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Igor Dodon Tuesday presented his electoral platform on the development of the suburbs of the capital city. Among his electoral promises are to repair and maintain the access roads to suburbs, lit the streets and finish the gasification of these settlements, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”The suburbs encounter a lot of problems that have not been addressed during the last four years and the situation worsened. They concern the water supply and sewerage services, the wastewater cleaning stations, the roads, the transport and fares, the gasification of the suburbs,” said Igor Dodon. He promised that if he becomes mayor of Chisinau, he will develop the water supply and sewerage systems in the suburbs, remove the unauthorized waste dumps, create conditions for transporting and storing the garbage, lay out the green areas in the settlements. He also said that he will provide plots to young families and employees of the budget-funded institutions from suburbs, on which to build house, restore and develop the education, cultural and medical intuitions, extend the trolleybus lines to the suburbs.
