The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development will offer Moldova a US$55 million loan. They money will be used by agricultural and processing companies to improve production processes and to increase capacities of accessing the foreign market, IPN reports.
As a result, the irrigation infrastructure will be improved and centralized irrigations systems in the localities of Tudora, Tețcani and Etulia will be renovated, it is said in a press release issued by Moldova’s Parliament.
The agreement envisions the strengthening of the capacities of public institutions involved in the European integration and pre-accession to the EU and of institutions that provide essential services for farmers.
The lending agreement is to be ratified by Parliament.
