Hot water charge may be reduced by 10 lei
The hot water charge will be diminished by 10 lei if a draft decision to this effect is adopted in the February 21 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Info-Prim Neo reports.
SA Termocom director general Mihail Cernei Monday said that the charge will be reduced if the temperature of the hot water is decreased by 5 degrees Celsius.
“Under to the formula defined in Government Decision No. 191, the hot water temperature is set at 55 degrees Celsius. If it is reduced by 5 degrees, the costs will be by 14.7% lower. Currently, most of the end-users pay 48.67 lei per cubic meter of hot water. The charge may be cut to 39.48 lei,” said Mihail Cernei.
Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked that the draft decision be prepared for Tuesday’s meeting of the CMC.
