High pollution level in Bic River
3 cases of high-level pollution have been registered in the Bic River in Chisinau, downstream – the city of Singera, and the water cleaning Station upstream, reports Info-Prim Neo.
According to a communique from the Ministry of Environment, the expedition group from the State Weather Forecasting Hydrology Center’s environment quality monitoring Division took 15 samples of water in the north of the country and 5 from the center.
The water samples collected from the Bic River, Chisinau segment, have shown a high level of dissolved oxygen pollution at 2.77 mgO2/l. In the This value should be of at least 6 mgO2/l during summer. Also in the samples collected from the Chisinau municipality segment, a high level of amonium ions was registered at 13.5 out the maximum concetration allowed.
Water samples are collected on a monthly basis from 56 segements of monitoring.
