The heavy showers of July 25 and 26 damaged 55 ha of sunflower , 145 ha of corn and 2.5 km of road in Nimereuca village of Soroca district, the General Inspectorate for Emergencies has said, being quoted by IPN.

Damage was also caused in Orhei town, where the high winds pulled away tiles from 250 square meters of the roof of the local secondary school “Grigore Vieru”.

In Coscodeni village of Sangerei district, the heavy rain destroyed portions of local gravel roads.

Local commissions for emergencies are to gauge the extent of the done damage.
