Heavy rain and unseasonably low temperatures expected in Moldova
In the next few days weathermen forecast heavy rainfall, gusty winds and temperatures that will drop down to +13 degrees Celsius, weather which is attributed by the State HydroMeteorology Service to the appearance of an extensive cyclone over Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the period from June 25-30, there will be heavy rains accompanied by electric discharges, with hail in parts of the country. Wind will blow from north-west with gusts that will reach 15-20 m/s, and in the period June 25 – 27 air temperatures will drop significantly to +13...+19 degrees Celsius.
In connection with the expected rainfall, weathermen warn that water levels in small rivers may rise by 0.5-1.5 meter, locally with flooding.
Also, owners of ponds and reservoirs are warned to check on dams, as hydro-technical constructions in poor conditions may rupture or collapse.
