The inhabitants of the capital city will pay less for the heat supplied by SA Termoelectrica. The National Agency for Energy Regulation on Tuesday approved a heating charge of 3,267 lei per gigacalorie, by 310 lei less than the current charge.

In the same meeting, the Agency also decided to reduce the charge for the heat supplied by SA CET Nord to the citizens of the municipality of Balti, to 3,561 lei per gigacalorie, down by 344 lei.

The new charges take effect when they are published in the Official Gazette.

The heat supplied to consumers in Chisinau grew by 25% more expensive at the end of this February.
