Heat supply in Chisinau is in danger, Termocom warns
The Union Fenosa Group warns that it will be forced to stop supplying electric power to Termocom SA if the company does not pay the electrical bills in due time. Another supplier, Moldova-Gaz SA, announces that it will reduce the natural gas supply down to the level of payments for the consumed gas.
In a communique, Termocom SA says that last weekend it received two warnings – from Union Fenosa and from Moldova-Gaz. Termocom SA owes 7.4 million lei to Union Fenosa for November, and 26.5 million lei to Moldova-Gaz SA for November and 33.5 million lei representing arrears accrued since the start of the year.
Moldova-Gaz asks Termocom to take adequate measures and pay the bills for the consumed natural gas. If the debt is not cleared, Moldova-Gaz will be forced to implement the contract stipulations and will decrease the natural gas supplies to the level of payments.
This November, Termocom SA paid the suppliers 23% of the payments for the consumed electric power, 5.3% for the natural gas, 7.6% for the thermal energy supplied by the thermoelectric plant CET-1 and 4.2% for the heat supplied by the thermoelectric plant CET-2.
Termocom says that it is unable to pay the bills because the Chisinau City Hall refuses to settle the debt of 149 million lei over tariff compensations.
The administration of Termocom SA warns that the supply of heat in the municipality of Chisinau is in danger. To overcome the difficulties, the company asks the municipal authorities to implement the court decision of December 14 and transfer the debt related to the compensation of charges.
