Hearings on case of Voronin postponed

The parliamentary legal commission for appointments and immunities put off the hearings on lifting the immunity of former President Vladimir Voronin. When going out of the meeting hall, the Communist MP Vadim Misin said the Prosecutor General's Office (PG) did not present evidence showing that Vladimir Voronin committed the offenses he is accused of, Info-Prim Neo reports. Misin also said that the PG should be ashamed of what it does, adding it is incompetent of examining legal cases. Vladimir Voronin is accused only of ordering halting the mobile telephony during the April 7, 2009 events. The hearings in the case of the former head of the state-owned agency “Moldsilva” Anatolie Popusoi, who also risks remaining without parliamentary immunity, go on.
