The hearing in the case involving the former director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) Nicolae Raileanu and the Agency was put off until December. Nicolae Raileanu filed a lawsuit against the Agency, demanding that the NAER decision on the higher gas tariffs of July should be annulled, IPN reports.

On November 13, the Rascani District Court postponed the hearing and accepted the NAER’s request to engage the enterprises affiliated to Moldovagaz in the trial.

The Court also rejected the plaintiff’s request to allow two persons to take part in the hearing. These are the former director of the NAER Victor Parlicov and economic expert Sergiu Tofilat. The Court argued that the two could have an interest in this case.

“By another requisition, I asked suspending the decision to increase the tariffs by a definitive court decision. This requisition was rejected and this makes me think that the Court is biased and I will probably ask that the judges should be replaced,” Nicolae Raileanu stated after the November 13 hearing.

The plaintiff said he could appeal the decision of the Rascani Court to a higher court.

The next hearing in this case will take place on December 21.
