Moldova’s Acting President Marian Lupu went to the polling place to cast his ballot accompanied by his wife Victoria Lupu. Marian Lupu said that he voted for Chisinau and its future, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I fact, it was a vote for the country. I voted according to my view about the future of our country,” said the leader of the PDM. Marian Lupu stated that he expects professionalism, dedication and openness to the people of the future mayor. He also said that the municipality of Chisinau has a lot of problems, but is sure that there are plenty of opportunities. Asked if he was bothered by the fact that the polling booth did not have a curtain at the entrance, Marian Lupu said he felt no different and is not against such a move. The second round of mayoral elections is taking place in 512 settlements, including Chisinau.
