Head of Ciocana district appointed
Chisinau Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca named a new head of Ciocana district at Thursday’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC). The seat fell vacant after Ion Gabura gave up the job to be councillor. Galina Bostan was named head of Ciocana after all the CMC factions gave their approval.
Galina Bostan was put forward by the Social-Democratic faction. She is member of the Social Democracy Party.
The new head is 38. She is a graduate of the State University of Moldova, Bachelor of Law. She graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Moldova and has the status of public functionary. She worked at the Prefecture of Chisinau municipality and as head of nursery school.
Earlier, Dorin Chirtoaca appointed the former CMC secretary Vladimir Sarban as head of Centru sector and the member of the Liberal Party Mihai Carlig as head of Rascani district. Valeriu Nemerenco, who was sacked last November by a CMC decision, was reinstated as head of Buiucani district. Vladimir Guritenco remained to head Botanica district.
