Greco-Roman wrestler Valentin Petic scores victory at Paris Olympics

Moldovan Greco-Roman wrestler Valentin Petic (67 kg) defeated Chile’s Nestor Almanza Truyol in the 1/8 finals of the Paris Olympic Games. He won with the score of 4:0, IPN reports.

In the quarterfinals, the athlete will duel with Azerbaijan’s Hasrat Jafarov, world vice-champion in 2023 and European champion in the last two years.

Valentin Petic is at his first participation in the Olympic Games.

Also today, wrestler Mariana Draguțan entered the Olympic Games. She lost to European champion Andreea Beatrice Ana, of Romania, with the score of 5:0.
