Govt recalls ambassadors from Israel, Belarus

The Government has recalled Moldova’s ambassadors to Israel and Belarus, without revealing why, IPN reports.

Gabriela Moraru has been ambassador to Israel since 2015, and Victor Sorocean ambassador to Belarus since 2017. The latter has also served as Moldova’s permanent and plenipotentiary representative to the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Also today, the Government appointed Vladimir Cuc as state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and Vasile Șarban was appointed state secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.

Meanwhile, Iurie Pacinschi and Dorel Noroc were relieved as state secretaries at the Ministry of Finance based on their letters of resignation.

Interior Minister Ana Revenco requested the dismissal of Ianoș Erhan, state secretary of at the Ministry of Interior, and the appointment of Jana Costachi instead. Both requests were accepted.

Vasile Cușca was also appointed as state secretary at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and Victor Zubco was discharged from the position of director of the National Anti-Doping Agency.
