Government withdraws bill on creation of register of infrastructure facilities

The Cabinet Wednesday withdrew a bill providing for the creation of a register of technical-urbanistic infrastructure facilities from the agenda of its November 6 meeting, IPN reports.

The National Participation Council recommended the Government to withdraw this bill until a number of discrepancies are removed.

In a news conference at IPN, held before the Cabinet’s meeting, members of the Council said that such a law is needed as it will strengthen the financial capacities of the entrepreneurial sector, will stabilize the ownership right regime and will create a more predictable regime for public intervention in infrastructure.

However, the bill must be first subject to public debates and its impact must be analyzed. There must be specified the costs of state registration of a very large number of infrastructure facilities for the business sector.
