The executive will identify financial resources for restoring the façade of the Organ Hall. Discussions on the issue were held during a visit by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca to this institution, the Government’s press service has said, quoted by IPN.
A sum of 2 million lei was allocated earlier from the 2014 state budget for carrying our repair works inside the building. It was agreed that 500,000 lei more will be allocated for the purpose.
The building of the Organ Hall started to be used in 1901. Until 1974, it housed the State Bank. For the first time, the organ was played in this hall, which is an architectural monument protected by the sate, on September 15, 1978, within a festive concert.
