The reconstruction of the water pipe will begin in Glodeni town in 2007. Concurrently, there will be worked out the documentation related to the project designed to build in 2007-2008 water pipelines Cobani-Camenca, Balatina-Cuhnesti, Viisoara-Ciuciulea and Fundurii Vechi. Premier Vasile Tarlev made such promises at Wednesday’s session of the Government held in Glodeni. The Government committed itself to undertake in concert with the local public administration necessary actions aimed at ensuring raion hospital in Glodeni and raion education institutions with relevant staff, and to improving their technical-material condition. At the same time, the Government will contribute to the renovation and reconstruction of several medical-sanitary and education institutions in the raion, to the building of gas pipes in settlements, restoration of road of national importance etc. Premier Vasile Tarlev remarked that Glodeni raion has an essential economic potential that is not fully implemented. Thus, in 2006 the volume of industrial output reached 220 mln lei, which is a 6.7% increase against the previous year. Nevertheless, the fact that only 72 enterprises in the raion reported profit was qualified as alarming, as 109 operated at a loss. As for revenues, 26.5 mln lei (124.7%) of the planned sum have been collected in the raion budget. The share of subsidies from the state budget continues to be high, making up 66.6% of the expenses of the raion. Vasile Tarlev specified that the organisation of the Cabinet’s sessions in the raions of the country has the aim to establish a more efficient cooperation between the central and local public bodies.
