Government to identify public property land
In the 2007-2008 the government will carry out a campaign to identify public property land. This provision is included in the draft law dealing with public property lands and their delimitation, passed on Thursday, March 22, in Parliament.
The draft sets rules for the delimitation of public lands and establishes their statute.
The demarcation procedures shall follow a programme approved by the Government. The law is also establishing the competence of the central and local authorities in delimiting public land.
The draft also prescribes the rules for passing the land from public property to the local public administration units and vice versa. According to this act, the procedures of identification and transforming the state-owned land into plots shall be financed from the national budget. The procedures related to the land belonging to administrative-territorial units will be financed from the local budget.
The programme of delimitation of the public lands is to be worked out within 6 months.
