Government to allocate 12m lei to localities affected by natural calamities

The Government will allocate about 12 million lei from the Intervention Fund for alleviating the consequences of the natural disasters in a number of localities of Moldova. A decision to this effect was taken by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission in its July 10 meeting, IPN reports.

Among the localities that were most seriously hit by the calamities are: Basarabeasca; villages Cetireni, Ungheni, Hansca, Pojăreni, Costești, Țipala, Horești of Ialoveni district; villages Chiștelnița, Sărătenii Vechi, Leușeni of Telenești district and Lipcani tows.

The funds will be allocated for compensating the people for the damage caused by the natural disasters to their homes. There will be restored a number of road sections and repaired the roofs of hospitals, schools and kindergartens that were damaged by hail.

Over 2 million lei will be distributed to 29 affected families from Lipcani town for buying homes as the apartment building in which they lived is unsuitable for living.
