Government of Cyprus grants Moldova $50,000 cheque to alleviate drought effects
Antonis Michaelides, Minister of Trade, Industry & Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus, currently visiting Chisinau, donated a cheque worth $50,000 to the Government of the Republic of Moldova to help alleviate the effects of this year’s drought.
The donation was made during a meeting between the Cypriot official and Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, who welcomed the positive development of the bilateral relations, mentioning that there is a lot of unvalued potential in the areas of trade and economy.
Antonis Michaelides thanked the Moldovan authorities for a high standard and welcoming visit organised for the Cypriot delegation and affirmed that as a result of this visit the Cypriot investments in Moldova will increase substantially, especially taking into account the conditions created by the Government for investors.
