Government launches "Save energy - pay less" campaign

The authorities kicked off a campaign entitled "Save energy - pay less", announced the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă, IPN reports.

"Let's all participate in this national effort: we save energy and pay less!", urged the Government’s spokesman.

In a video disseminated through social media, Daniel Vodă says he is convinced that the Moldovans will get through this winter well as the Government will continue to help the vulnerable categories of citizens.

"Each of us wants to spend as little as possible on bills and we can do this through small changes in our homes," said Daniel Vodă. He enumerated a number of important measures recommended for consumers, such as turning off the light in rooms where no one is present, using energy-saving tips for washing machines, using LED bulbs that consume 75% less energy and installing a thermostat (set between 18-20 degrees) which will help reduce the bill by 30%.
