The Government has launched the First Home Plus program. The list of beneficiaries will be extended. Representatives of free professions, such as taxi drivers, artists and others who can prove an income, will also be able to participate in the program. Also, the upper lending limit will increase from 1 million to 2.5 million lei, with a fixed rate of 7.63%, while the maximum loan duration will be extended from 25 to 30 years. The changes made to improve the program were communicated by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a press conference, IPN reports.
The official said that this program is an investment in the future of young people and families in Moldova. This is targeted state aid dedicated to families in the Republic of Moldova, through which better living conditions are provided at home.
A novelty of the program is the increase of the loan guarantee rate by the state from 50% to 70% for dwellings purchased outside Chisinau. For dwellings located in the capital city, put into operation up to ten years before submitting the application, the share will rise from 50% to 65%.
Those who already participate in the program can benefit from relending or change of the creditor through the First Home Plus program. At the same time, those who have a home of less than 50 square meters in area will be able to apply for a larger dwelling.
A number of procedures will be simplified for the benefit of citizens, by digitizing processes and eliminating some of the certificates issued by the Public Services Agency.
The First Home Plus program will be available to citizens starting July 2024.
