The authorities dismiss as false the online reports about Poland’s intention to send illegal migrants from Africa and the Middle East, who are on its territory, to Moldova and about the Moldovan authorities’ readiness to accept this. The Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă said the given posts are made from fake Facebook accounts, IPN reports.

“It’s a gross lie. The state institutions conduct transparent and public negotiations on any agreements we are a party to. The authorities warned the population that in the near future we can see an intensification of misinformation in order to divide the citizens of our country or to intimidate them. All these actions should motivate us to be more vigilant and attentive to the sources of information we consult, and to stop the chain of disinformation,” Daniel Vodă told stopfals.md.

“The information about illegal migrants who are to be sent from Poland to Moldova was distributed from different Facebook accounts. The posts refer to a Polish resource — agencja-informacyjna. For the publications to attract more visits, these are promoted through sponsored advertising,” says stopfals.md.
