Mihai Ghimpu is right not to accept presidential candidate Veronica Bacalu because he does not know her. Moreover, judging by the way she is promoted by Prime Minister Vlad Filat, this candidate will be probably his puppet, the chairman of the Public Association “Moldova mea” Feodor Ghelici said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Feodor Ghelici stated Vlad Filat stressed that Veronica Bacalu will come to Chisinau only if the Liberal Party accepts her. “Vlad Filat behaves as if he decides who and when should meet her. It is as if you call a young man to say that a bride was found for him and if he says that he wants to see her, you tell him to sign a marriage agreement first,” Feodor Ghelici said ironically. He also said that for being accepted by the MPs and society, Veronica Bacalu should come to Moldova, deliver a speech and present her ideas about the future of this people so that a decision could be taken later as regards her candidacy. Igor Caldare, a member of the Association “Moldova mea”, said that Mihai Ghimpu has the right to reproach his alliance colleagues for excluding him from the game. “If a puppet President is elected, Ghimpu will be removed from power,” he stated. The representatives of “Moldova mea” consider that Veronica Bacalu is insistently promoted in order to obtain a delay. Igor Caldare said that Vlad Filat says one thing, but does another thing. The chairman and members of the association want to know if Veronica Bacalu has the citizenship of the U.S., where she has lived for many years.
