The Chisinau Court of Appeals postponed the hearing in the case of former Minister of the Interior Gheorghe Papuc and former general police commissioner Vladimir Botnari, who are accused of misconduct in office during the April 2009 events.

Prosecutor Sergiu Rosu has told IPN that the hearing was put off because Gheorghe Papuc suffered a stroke and was hospitalized.

The case of Botnari and Papuc was initiated in June 2010. At the end of 2011, the Centru district court acquitted the two.
