The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) accounted for 36.755 billion lei in 2005 and rose by 7.1 percent compared with 2004, according to preliminary data of the National Bureau for Statistics. The final consumption of households – 33.650 billion lei held the largest share of the total volume of GDP, and 5.711 billion lei was spent for the maintenance of public administration. The final consumption of private administrations was 484.699 million lei, gross formation of fixed capital – 8.953 billion lei, variance of stocks - 1.997 billion lei. The production volume was estimated at 82.102 billion lei in current prices in the same period, while the gross value-added – 30.745 billion lei.
