The delivery of gas by the Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG to the Transnistrian region will be paid for by the Russian Federation. The information was confirmed by the leader of the Transnistrian administration Vadim Krasnoselski.
"Further, the Transnistrian region will be supplied with gas by a Hungarian company with the participation of Moldovagaz. The delivery was possible thanks to Russian credit and functional support," Krasnoselski said.
Today is the last day of gas deliveries from European aid. The Tiraspol leader says he is grateful to the EU for its assistance, which has made it possible to restore the left bank's energy system.
Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG will be able to deliver gas to the Transnistrian region from February 13. A decision in this was approved by the Commission for Exceptional Situations.
"It is a supply by a trader from Europe of 3 million cubic meters of gas per day for 16 days. If deliveries will exceed this volume and large industries will start to work, then the Chisinau government will tax the transactions," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG, paid by Dubai's JNX General Trading L.L.C, will bring the gas to Moldova's border under a contract signed with Moldovagaz. Tiraspol will pay in advance the transit costs for gas transported from the Moldovan border to the region.
