Gagauzia’s governor Yevgeniya Gutsul says consumers in Gagauzia, Taraclia and Orhei will receive natural gas at a rate of 10 lei under a tripartite contract.
Gutsul told a press briefing on Tuesday that Nordgaz Furnizare SRL has undertaken the logistics of supplying the gas to the three administrative units.
According to her, the proposed mechanism is transparent. She added that the contract was published, and the first installment, worth 3.5 million euros, was already advanced by the Turkish supplier.
When Gutsul first made the announcement a week ago, Energy Minister Victor Parlicov called it a “fake”, adding that such a contract would be “inexecutable”.
