Vasile Tarlev, chairman of the Future of Moldova Party, said that on February 9, 2024, the founding congress was held, the governing bodies were elected and changes were made to the statutes and program of the party.
The ex-Premier noted that they encountered barriers when they intended to register the party, but these were overcome and the party was registered with the PSA. Thousands of persons filed applications to join the party. In this connection, Vasile Tarlev called on the citizens, no matter where they live, to join the party.
He noted that their party is “for the country, for the nation, for concrete achievements and a better future of the generations and the Republic of Moldova”. The party’s members will not resort to “destructive methods, as other mates do, but will tend to be efficient in their daily work.”
The Future of Moldova Party will propose a package of reforms for the development of the state in the economic, social, education and security sectors. The members of the party will pursue a policy to cultivate patriotism, love for the country and to preserve the territorial integrity and welfare of the state, said the party’s chairman.
The party will insist on keeping the country’s neutrality status. According to Vasile Tarlev, joining a military bloc will lead to the destruction of Moldova. “We are not against the European Union, we are not against the Eurasian Union, we are for Moldova and we will be there where the national interest is,” said the former Premier, adding that the strategic and important issues must be decided by a national referendum.
