Sixty-six young men and women, first year students at the "Alexandru cel Bun" Military Academy of the Armed Forces, took the oath of allegiance to the homeland today. Sergiu Plop, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defense, thanked the parents for supporting and encouraging their children to study the military arts. After three years of studies, graduates of the "Alexandru cel Bun" Academy will have a guaranteed job in the armed forces of Moldova, the official said.
Sergiu Plop said that he is aware of "all the particularities of the life of a military student", since he worked at the Military Academy of the Armed Forces. "There are professionals here, who will help you shape yourself as leaders. We have high expectations of you", said the secretary of state. Sergiu Plop warned that life in the military is not easy. It also involves taking part in various international missions.
"We will devote ourselves body and soul to the defense of Moldova. We will study hard, so that when we graduate from the Academy, we become true professionals", said Vasile Macan, one of the students.
