Fuel prices will not include duties for Road Fund
The Parliament rejected the draft law of the Government which stipulated that the price of each liter of gasoline or diesel oil sold at gas stations will include a tax for the maintenance of the road fund.
According to the proposal of the Government, a tax of 0.15 and respectively 0.10 MDL had to be included in the price for gasoline and diesel oil sold at gas stations, excepting the diesel oil purchased for agricultural purposes.
The draft law was voted in the last week by the communists’ faction, but on Friday, July 28, the draft was rejected when voted for the second time. Nicolae Bondarciuc, the head of the Committee for Economic policy, Budget and Finance, declared that in this way the committee took into consideration the numerous proposals of the MPs to reject the draft Law.
At the same sitting, the Parliament did not change the VAT zero rate for the construction works for some companies and natural persons. This initiative was also voted in the last week by communist MPs and was rejected in final reading.
