The body of the minor aged 15 who drowned in the Nistru River, in Dubăsari, was found by frogmen of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in the morning of July 31, IPN reports.
According to the Inspectorate, the body was recovered after it was noticed floating on water at a distance of about 1 km from the Dubăsari Hydroelectric Plant. The recovery operation was performed swiftly with the assistance of specialized equipment.
The searches started on July 29. The minor went missing after a handmade raft fell apart on the Nistru.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that 64 persons, 13 of whom were minors, drowned in Moldova’s rivers and ponds so far this year.
